CMY on NBN yesterday on ACCN on his thoughts on VT basketball for next year

CMY's segment starts at 45 min into the 2 hour broadcast for those who recorded it (thank you YTTV, for unlimited DVR).

First segment was mostly about VT's run vs. both teams to clinch the ACC Championship in Brooklyn.

Second segment talked more about matching up against each team playing today. Key for VT to beat UNC was stopping Manek from making 3's (he did not vs. VT in the ACCT).

I thought the third segment starting at 1:15 was most insightful (they talked while watching Duke warm up prior starting at 1:00, but focused back on the desk hosts for this).

CMY answered a question on how negative social media was very tough to keep some of the players from having "long faces at film sessions" after "unhappy Hokies" voiced displeasure on social media that the players both saw and were aware of. He mentioned how tough it is to keep a team together in this age of instant feedback after a game. CMY finished with how all of the coaches are finding it tough to work through keeping players up when hearing negative direct feedback.

CMY then speaks to how the ACC seeding could have been better (VT and UNC in particular) and how tough it was for Wake to be left out. ACC teams left since the sweet 16 in representing the conference well.

Then he talked about the 2022-23 VT team, and I'll quote here (1:17 into the show):
"I love this team, our backcourt will be even stronger, with holdover Sean Pedulla.
Darius Maddox was exceptional over the last half - 2/3 of the season.
Cattoor and Alleyne will be back.
We've got some work to do on the front line.
Mutts and Aluma are contemplating their Covid year [referring to the extra year both have due to last season not counting], hope to have them both back. Those decisions will come in time.
Whatever they decide to do, I'll always be huge fans of those 2 men, and indebted, and have had so much fun in working with them.
The Hokies will be back, and we look forward to it."

CMY did a fantastic job on the show, really enjoyed being there, and enjoyed beignets that AM too! ;-)
